Thieves Suck - Basket Stolen at Clover Dell in Sedalia

#16 was stolen sometime within the last couple of days. The lock was cut with bolt cutters and left laying nearby. It's a practically new Mach III with the #16 on it.

 

There's a special place in hell for mf'rs that steal disc golf baskets.

This seems to happen with regularity.  Is it possible for manufacturers to put some kind of GPS tracking device inside the pole?  I'm serious.  People are surgically installing tiny tracking devices in their pets.

Usually those are identification chips that can be scanned once the animal is found. Hopefully someone can find that that basket with the 16 nickel and turn those punks into the cops.

We're just hoping it was someone local and stupid enough to put it in their yard like we've had happen in KC a couple of times. But more than likely it's someone wanting a practice basket or basket for a course on personal property that doesn't live anywhere near Sedalia. It just pisses me off to no end that a disc golfer would be that rotten of a person. I just hope this doesn't become a pattern out there. I think we've been lucky in KC the last couple of years. Or was it an improvement in locks?

Yes, all is well! The hanger was in need of some repair, as the basket had been bent and the ring for the inner chains had my crappy weld break. So far, I have straightened the basket back out but I forgot my dad took my welder to his house. I just need to get the welder back and then the basket will be returned to its proper hangout.

Good news from Clover Dell:

"Kevin,

You probably know by now but we recovered the #16 basket from a person’s backyard in town last week, we have since put it back in place.  I believe they arrested the individual which is also good news.  If you need anything for the Sept. 29th event please let me know.  I would like to have markers etc. by then and anything you think we need.
