I don't find the back 8 hard at all, I just think find it boring and unnecessary long. This is how it went the last time I was there.

11 - drive short of the tree up the middle, lay up to the basket.
12 - throw a straight drive and skip off the road at the basket.
13 - throw as far as you can, lay up with a putter.
14 - throw a flex anny over the road and land by the basket.
15 - throw straight up the gut for an ace run (denied by the tree mostly in the short pin).
16 - As a lefty, I think this is the worst hole ever. I could write an essay over how miserable this hole is.
17 - Throw a big shot towards the trees over the road and let it come back. Easy 3 no matter where the pin is.
18 - Throw a big drive up the gut, lay up with a putter.

to be fair, those bands aren't really all that obscure.  they each had multiple hits (in the 80s).

Ah the 80's.  A great time to grow up.  Knuckleheads has a knack for bringing in bands that were quite popular in the '80's.  The lead singer from The Stranglers was there awhile back.  The Stranglers are a little more obscure than The Romantics or The English Beat but very influential to that period of of New Wave/punk.

But then again, I'm just trying to sound "cool".

How's this for cool....  Me, Demian and Jack went to the Hugh Cornwall show you are referencing (Stranglers) and had a great time.   

Face it, Knucklehead's is cool....     And, it's right down the hill from one of the best disc golf courses in town. Yes, I refer to Cliff Drive for all you naysayers...

As a Righty, #12 grabs you by the balls, and scares you to death from fear of the cliff nastiness, to the dangit OB.  So you are blessed to be a lefty......
#16 is the exact opposite configuration, in that it is easier for a hyzer from a righty, (but why do mine seem to go OB on an anny route then?) but I am curious why you this is the "worst hole ever"  I love how it comes like an hour glass with ob on both sides, and if the wind is in play it makes it tough on all approaches.

So let me know why you think that this hole is the worst one on the planet.......

Now I don't want to get into an argument over the front 9 versus the back 9, but the initial intent for those of you that may not know is that Cliff was designed with a 6-6-6 format to showacase many of the challenges of typical disc golf in KC.  We have 6 tight technical holes, we have 6 holes with defined boarders, and 6 pretty much wide open holes to air it out.  There is a piece of every game and aspect to be used on the course.

Now that being said.....I need help to make it more aligned with what people may "enjoy", and the knowledge that we have lost about 20 trees at CRUCIAL junctions out there make a change needed.  So starting this fall, if you want to help with the reconfiguration of the course, I would welcome your efforts.  Essentially holes 13, 14, 15 will vanish.  You will walk from #12 to #16 (like that is going anywhere, I mean having the "worst hole ever", that is some great notoriety!) and 3 holes will be added in 2 different locations.  I also want to extend #6. 

Alas it is always a work in progress, but the fact that you play the front 9 is more than people were doing here 10 years ago, and that is progress.

I don't think #16 is the worst hole ever, but as a lefty, it is definitely one of the most challenging as far as placing a drive for a good second shot. Drive too long, it usually goes OB. Drive too short, you end up with a long, blind, turnover approach shot. That hole usually kicks my ass, but whenever I do manage to get a 3 on it, it makes me feel like I kicked its ass, and then I go to #17 with a full head of steam and a nice boost of confidence.

It's interesting that a 920 rated intermediate player claims to be able to shoot 3 or 4 down on the back like it's child's play (show me), but whines about one of the best designed holes on the course just because it doesn't fit his eye.

And 17 is an easy 3 no matter where the pin is. Don't you forget it!:D
