DDKC's 2nd 1 Rounder! Water Works Park, August 5th.
« on: July 30, 2012, 10:46:14 AM »
Heads up. This coming Sunday August 5th, DDKC will host our 2nd 1 Rounder at Water Works Park. Due to Heat and the demand to play earlier the time this go round will be 9am-6pm. You have this window to throw your round(s). Singles by payout in Rec., Int., Adv., Masters., Open. Doubles Payout, Am, Mixed, or Open. This time we will start a rolling ace fund at $2 dollars a head. If nobody hits the jackpot then it will roll on over to next months 1 Round show down. We have added a little madness this time as well. Bring your poker chips and get back in after shooting that unsatisfying distasteful 4 down. Go for 9! That's right, you can buy back in, keeping only your best score. Number of rounds? As many as you can handle! Come enjoy this day with all your fellow disc junkies and spread some love to the most beautiful park in town.

PS, I promise to be more organized this week.
Sincerely, Matt E (Swade)

Nice to see #2 will be moved, but #4 and #7 have been in the same pin locations all year. Can these get moved any time soon? #4 short is a nice ace run, just sayin'...

#7 was on the left for the Wide Open.

On #4, Jamie is partial to his peace sign.

Jamie, do you need anything to get #4 unlocked?

Sorry, I forgot about the two weeks that 7 was on the left pin.

Jamie, what do you mean both rounds? I play WW in the mornings probably three times a week. Anyway, I have an extra can of Kroil that I'll keep in my car for next time I see ya. It should work to get 4's lock freed up.

invert the lock.  fill up the lock with penetrating oil thru the keyhole.  try the key with very little force.  dont break the key inside the lock.  if doesnt work, let sit for 24 hrs then repeat.  a light tap with a small hammer on the bottom in the locking direction may speed the process.  make sure there is oil in the lock when performing this step.  2-3 days should do it.  if not, probably time for a new lock.  oiling all the locks on the course couple of times a yr will help deter this from happening.  not a bad investment of ~$3/yr/course in penetrating oil in my opinion.

Hopefully, the board will approve that $3/course when they vote on it. If not, they can rent my Kroil for fifty cents.

I would like to thank all of the people who came out to Waterworks yesterday to make it a great day.  We had 105 players come out and enjoy the beautiful weather and the casual environment among friends.

The next 1 Rounder will be held at Swope on September 16th and it will start with a $142 Ace Fund since No Ace was hit at Waterworks.
