Application is open. Takes like 10 seconds to do.

what was the entry?

I am often amazed as the payout table is looked at, I prefer to see what amount was added in terms of payout.  The problem now is that with more and more disc golf shops opening up, they are able to artificially raise the payout without doing any of the work.

The model of the groups getting actual sponsors is going to the wayside to a certain level, and that in turn may not be as beneficial towards gaining outside exposure, but rather keeping us insulated with a false sense of growth, yet only again feeding off the backs of our own industry.

Of course a counter to this could be that since we have grown to start a business model, that we could grow into other arena's as well.  I am just not certain that it takes us to where we want to go quickly......

yeah and since $20k was already promised, it appears less than $2k.  I don't like beating on him but you are right Tank, and I think that is the way that it should be.  Get a company behind the sport, and throw money to legitimize it.  I thank him for it, but we need to replicate it in clothing, more shoe wear, socks, umbrella's, etc.....if we could get company's to gravitate towards our sport, we could get them to attack the lackluster payouts (thinking about this year's Worlds) in many of our events and we would be a viable industry, that could lead many changes in P&R's across the land.

Gasp, maybe even pay to play places around here!
