Blue valley placement

I plan on playing blue valley tomarrow. I hear there is 2 pin placements, short and bring a lunch long. Any idea how its set?  I only have about 3 hours to play. : )

Aaron, "Big Blue" is still getting put back into the ground (if it hasnt been already) but there should be "little blue" for you to discover. I would recommend playing the short course first. You can get the map on the Blue Valley forum or find it here

It's a good 2 hour course playing solo for your first time. Bring water, get ready to walk. it's very fun!

Maybe I'll come join you, what time do you plan on heading out there?

I tried to play it last weekend for the first time. None of the long placements had baskets. so I wondered around even longer than if I had played the long course. At the end of the morning not only was I still very old but then I was also very worn out. It shows the long 17 and 18 across the road and they have no baskets. That was last sunday, unless it has changed since then.

As of Wednesday the red practice baskets at Swope, were still there. These had been moved to BV to supplement the long and short set ups. Dan Cashen will move the baskets back at some point. Again, this is a volunteer effort, so please bear that in mind.

Can't speak for the rest of the course, but on my way to work today I noticed that 17 and 18 each had their Mach III pins back.

Red baskets are in the "inner/short" layout, and Nickel baskets are back to "Long" placements.

Just imagine everything as a Par 3.  Now try to birdie all of them.

Par 68, this can be debated, but it is generally considered par between 68-71
