Wide Open Hole Stats
« on: June 17, 2006, 12:02:10 PM »
Anyone in the know have access to the pro scorecards for Blue Valley in the wide open?

Just looking at the round ratings, it seems that 64 is the 1000 rated par for the course.  The posted par of 68 equated to 975 golf for this tourney, which was probably fairly average for conditions.  I don't think the 68 is a bad number for the course par there as 975 is more like an average pro rather than a top pro.

What I would be REALLY interested in seeing, is the hole-by-hole stats.  Kinda like they did for the USDGC.  The average score for the holes and a breakdown of what % of the field shot the hole in 2 strokes, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.  That is the best indication of the high quality of hole design.  They will all be a little different, but say you find a hole that gives around 50% par, with 25% birdie, and 25% bogey or worse....  Now that's a great hole.  Especially if it is par 4.
