It is the only "club" league during the winter.  The rest of the year you could almost a month and play a different league every night except Thursday......

I know this has come up before, but the rolling start with 25 - 40 players keeps me away more often than not. I love this league, but rarely play it because of the time I have to commit. Down Under over three and a half hours  is painful at times.



But to everyone else, Palmer is exactly right. It is random draw and those three to three and half hours can be great, or not. Great league, no doubt.

I would like revisiting the idea of having everyone meet up at hole 12 and getting more groups starting at the same time. Example: Holes 9, 10, 11, 12 and 18. Thus getting 30 starting near or close to the same time.

I agree and the main reason I rarely play DU on Saturday.  I love the league, but getting done after 4pm each week keeps me away from it.

Here are last week's results and ratings. As for the chatter about format changes, we've discussed options for a long time. The overall concensus is to keep it as it is even though it's difficult for some to parse that much time on a Saturday. Last week we had 28 people. The last 6-some was off by 1pm and finished by 3:30. You are going to have some waiting time at the beginning, end, or a mix of both. Oh well.... There is now $147 in Ace fund.

You do a great and consistent job of running it Jay. I am siding with your decision to keep it the same as it always has been due to everyone being used to meeting at hole one plus you are the one running it which actually has more weight on how its run. You always get on the last card which I see as making a huge sacrifice.
I am making my chili today for a party tonight so I cannot make league today. I can hear the cheers already!!
