Wyco Fall/Winter Glow
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:18:54 AM »
Four golfers came out on the 26th.  The evening became quite nice as the wind died down.  Mike T, Travis D, Nick A and myself decided to play a round+2 holes of wolf.  Nick captured a bunch of skins with a howling wolf call after putting one close on hole 12. I don't recall the exact skin count in the end, but Nick was the big winner with Mike T coming out even, followed by myself and Travis out of pocket a few bucks.

More fun this Friday, come on out.

Four golfers out again last Friday.  Weather was great, our disc golfing was a little rough on the edges.  We played singles, but we were all disappointed more people didn't come out to make a nice doubles field.  Come on out to Wyco this Friday for some full glow doubles. The weather looks to be the best of the week.

Five out on a warm but windy evening.  Travis D couldn't play, but Tony Todd and CJW joined regulars Mike T, Nick A and myself. So we increased participation by 20%.   8)   We'd like to have at least 6 to play dubs.  Being one short, we played non-skins wolf.  Tony, Caleb and Nick tied for the points win and played off for the top two cash spots with a CTP to the practice basket from the power box beyond 18.  Nick parked his shot and Caleb was just outside him, leaving Tony out of the cash.

Come on out this week and bring a friend.

Another perfect evening on tap today(11/16) for some Wyco glow; temps in the 50's with just a whisper of an ESE breeze.   Come join us for a 6pm start of random draw doubles.

7 made it out on the 16th, so we did play doubles on a very dark and calm evening at the Wyco.

If weather is good for the 23rd, we may start earlier and have a black Friday potluck.

It  sounds like the P&R is not planning on doing anything out there for a few years. If I hear anything new I'll let everyone know.

Thanks glover.  I know you have an inside source, but who can the club have a representative contact to get the "official" word?

I was asked to not reveal my source to anyone. This is totally legit Utz. Try calling the P&R director Tracy but that's not going to help much in my opinion. I could just let everyone wonder the future of the park.  I have never mislead anyone except on April Fools Day.

I wasn't able to make it last Friday as I was sick all week.  I also won't be able to make it this Friday as it is our 10th anniversary. Don't let that stop any of you from going out to play Wyco Dubs; the weather looks to be good.  I'll see you all in December.

Is Friday nite Wyco back in action??   Not sure if TW is still recovering from his anniversary!
