I think Jack's point is, it's Ice Bowl.

If this were a PDGA sanctioned tournament, I could see posting the big scrawl about how you're disappointed with the score keeping procedures.  But since it's for Ice Bowl, normally someone just says, "the scores are incorrect for me".  Someone else says, "OK", it gets fixed and people move on.

With that many people, some minor clerical errors are bound to happen, no biggie.  Plus, the rum balls and other various intoxicants can make for a little looser time than usual.

Oh, and I'm not afraid at all of gentle observation, particularly since I don't help out much anymore.  To me, it's Ice Bowl.  They could've put the wrong scores down for me, I don't really care at all.

I'm an integral part of Lawrence Brewers Guild.  We put on Brewfest every September where we serve 70 kegs to over 300 people.  A lot of beer is consumed not only during the 6 hours of the actual fest, but during the 48 hours of camping before and after.  There are 4 committees, each with 5-10 people on them to coordinate logistics, beverge, food and music.  Lots of people, all volunteers, lots of beers, lots of personalities over two whole days.

After every Brewfest we talk about what went well and what we could improve on.

The bigger point is not my individual score.  The point I was attempting to review was how could someone could check-in six different ways with 3-4 different people, yet something not happen they way it should.  There is an opportunity for improvement in the player check-in and verification process.

My error in thinking that this type of review would be helpful.  I apologize for bringing it up.

Rest assured your feedback has not gone unnoticed. "Constructive Criticism" as they call it, helps identify where things can be improved. This makes a better environment for players and volunteers.

During my wife's round on Sunday morning in which I caddied for her and played too, I packed her discs into my bag with most of my regular ones I carried and two full water bottles, I said my shoulders and back were getting sore.  My wife quickly told me to "stop whining", which I promptly did.  I definitely needed some beers though during lunch.  I had played over 100 holes in 3 days, with two rounds of Rosie on Friday (with Fri traveling league), 2 rounds on Saturday (up top and down under), one round Sunday morning,  and the final nine.  However, she gets it as do I.

Rob, my point was to bust your balls a touch, not to take it so seriously.  Any feedback to make it better is good.  Please don't construe my tone online as an edict to stop informing of ideas to make it better.  If we didn't listen, I wouldn't have had mulligans on Saturday still!
 

All notes help- those that are working/running it, and chances are people will remember it next year while running it!

Yes, it's Ice Bowl, and it's casual, but there's nothing wrong with accuracy. I took a close look at both the scoreboard cards and the scorecards, and found a few scores that had not been entered, some scores that I punched in incorrectly, and some names that were misspelled. Please let me know of any other inaccuracies.

Our updated body count includes 384 players, staff, and contributors with 211 who played both rounds, 99 who played one round, and 74 others. We're still accepting donations or selling packages at Disc Golf World. Our donation to Harvesters and Bishop Sullivan is currently right around $6300.

And yet all I heard through all of this was "I bought 22 mulligans" from Jack.  At 2 mulligans for $5 that comes to .... $362.79 I think. The extra is the taxing effect of all of us having to hear he almost beat emac. So grateful mulligans could not be used on the final 9!  HAHAA!!! btw: Cliff Drive @ 11 today 2/9/13

For those of you that took the hockey tickets from the CTP's, remember the game is tomorrow night.

There are beer/drink specials from 5:30-6:30, and generally on a Tuesday night there are some other type of specials.

BTW, next year I will use all my mulligans, and not throw some away as I did this year.....though I did enjoy selling them to a few folks, but selling them for $1/ea isn't a great way to make money at it now is it?
