I played Young Park a few weeks ago and hated it. We couldn't find the pads or the pins. Put one in the water, every other shot was in the stickers. BAD,BAD,BAD. Well I told people I knew how horrible it was.

I talked to Dick down at DGW and he told me how to play it. Today was beautiful and I slowed down and threw short to keep it straight and guess what, it worked. I actually did well and started to like the course. I did not play all 18 but have a new way of looking at this course. Not wanting to say this but it almost ,kind of,  maybe  suits my style of playing, maybe a little , maybe. I want to play it again with more time and see how I do.
Anyway I'm sorry for bad mouthing this course.

It's all good, that course pisses me off most of the time, too. But it's a great place to learn your finesse shots.

40's are very clearly out there. Some pro's are just whiners I guess. Avery isn't happy unless he is staring at a 600 ft wide open fairway.

Wow, I had no idea two World Champions think WY is BS... I mean Wilbur Young in Blue Springs... is a poor course.

I have absolutely no distance on any kind of "gimmick" shot and generally shoot 52-55 with the occasional 59 (aka the 2012 KCWO) ; and if it's "Amateur Hour" then why didn't everybody shoot a 42?

I've been saying for a couple years that WY is the toughest course in town -- if not just for the fact that you absolutely have to put your drive down THE DEFINED FAIRWAY to score. Congrats to John Theiss once again for a fine layout!

I have never seen anyone shoot two scores the same out there. The only person who I've seen shoot consistently on the course is Uncle Teddy. That tells me right there that it is a pretty tough course. Maybe these pros are losing sight of what this game is all about? It seems if its not wide open bomb shots all over someone is crying. I take that back someone is crying regardless these days.
