Is the course fully set up now? Looking forward to coming out and playing it some time.

There are a few finishing touches to be done, but the course is definitely playable.  There are 18 baskets for the normal positions, and I believe all but one (if not all) of the gold baskets are in as well.  There is also potentially one or two tee pads yet to be complete.  In any event, it's still very much so set up for use and mowed.  I encourage anyone to get out there and play it!

And I would like to emphasize the meeting that John mentioned.  We're trying very hard to get Independence on board with the disc golf expansion out east.  Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, Liberty, Pleasant Hill and Raymore all now have (or will have very soon) championship courses.  Independence has some prime real estate and we want to show that we are an active and present group in Independence and Kansas City as a whole.  As John said, if you live in Independence or nearby, please do your best to attend this meeting.  It will be held a week from today at the Sermon Center in Independence at 6:00.  Thanks for your support!

Let's call it the "Mocking Bird" course to play along with the "Birdland" moniker at Lake Olathe. "Birdland" just sounds so... easy.

Here is an updated map with more short pads and alternate pins. I'm sure I missed some of the extra pins and will have to update it again

I have a version that is bigger and looks a lot sharper but you can only attach super small files on here

Update from the political side.  The KCFDC board approved (insert course name here) at Stocksdale Park in Liberty as an official club course.  We are working on a memorandum of understanding with Parks & Recreation now.

At this time I am looking for a course coordinator.  If you are interested in this position please let me know.  We will get together and talk about what a coordinator does.  The course is not complete and John will continue to oversee that part.

I know there are probably others interested. But I would be willing to listen to what all is involved.

Hey guys, this is Chris Wilson with Liberty Parks.
We need to decide on a name for the course.  Here are the latest "trending" names. I need your feedback ASAP.

Bad Rock Creek Disc Golf Course (Lewis and Clark called nearby Rush Creek "Creek of the Bad Rock")
Trailbender DGC  (lots of winding trails at the park)
Expedition DGC  (for Lewis and Clark)

Thanks!

I like Bad Rock and Trailbender is not bad. Either one would be cool.
