Questions about disc specs
ReTee:
I understand the weight and plastic type specs on a disc and appreciate the differences they make. I also understand speed/glide/turn/fade, but I've been seeing an additional designation among players that I haven't seen, or at least noticed before until the last few weeks and don't have a clue what it's about. It's the "times" thing, usually seen on the message boards as "11x," or "9x" or so on. What's that about?
jack:
Those are all Ken Climo type of discs. It represents the X champion run he was. In other words, it would be a 8x, it was when he was 8 times world champ.....it is only for his designation to date as no one else is within the grasp of his world titles. I think only Juliana has a 5x stamp beyond Kenny's....
Utz:
Barry Schultz 2 timin'
I dont think there are any other designations. Spot on, Jack.
