14 + two latecomers who played causual out today. (And one jerk cop - see thread on WW undercover). Sorry Joe for the jerks at SMP PD. If we can help out with the $70 ticket let us know. I think some players would pitch in a few bucks.

That did piss me off to see Joe getting ticketed for dogs. I was a few holes ahead so didn't see exactly what happened but did see park cop hiding behind fence waiting for someone. I thought it was to nail myself for drinking.

On a positive note, we gathered at least 3 full bags of trash.

No worries. I knew what I was getting into going out there. I've been warned a couple times before, just thought if I had the leashes on the dogs and occasionally carried them when I seen cops, that I would be alright. Didn't expect that jack-off to be hiding where I normally feel safe with the dogs off leash.
 Oh well, I guess that's my $70 donation to take the dogs to the dog park.

I guess if you want to take your dogs, just avoid playing SMP/Swope, since they are trying to fund their stupid dogparks, where people with uncontrollable dogs can let their dogs run. While the rest of us that take the time to train obedient well-mannered disc dogs get punished.

Joe your dogs are the most well behaved dogs too thats what is ridiculous about this whole situation.  Completely unwarranted.  Now i've seen owners with dogs that might have warranted a talking to but to give a ticket without a warning is ridiculous and no way did you or your dogs deserve it.

There are several who agree that there should be some dispute over the ticket. Take it to court or submit a dispute. You have at least 15 witnesses that said that the dogs were on the leash and well behaved. Granted at times the leash was not in your hand. Also those witnesses were picking up trash during the round and over 90 plus will be utilizing the park on Sunday. Just saying, there are legit reasons for cops to be employed giving tickets etc. Screwing with the people who use the park and care for it is not their purpose . . . at least give a warning.
