2013 Monkey Island Open - rescheduled for Sat 3/30

Besides Glass Blown Open, here is another opportunity to play on a course that is intended to be used for Am Worlds this summer.

Like I said, I'm planning on playing; but to be honest I'm kind of waiting to see how the weather is. I assume it will have warmed up a lot by then, but maybe not.

In the Monkey Island open all the greens are ob islands, correct? is worlds gonna have islands

Monkey Island is at Peter Pan Park. The only "greens" there are Disc Golf greens, grasses, bushes and sometimes some "herb."

As long as I'm not on-call that weekend, I plan on playing it.  As a side note, I talked to Jeremy a while back, and he informed that by the time Worlds hits, the tee pads will be bigger at Peter Pan.  Getting an "overhaul", if you will.  8)

YEA! The one thing I really don't like about PP - the narrow tee pads get in my head. I guess that is part of (was) the difficulty of the course.

Only a couple of the holes have island greens including the monkey island hole, which is a short stone wall around a remnant of the old zoo. The other island hole that has been used is an old elevated ampitheater stage. I doubt the course will be played like this for worlds; this setup is generally only for the monkey island tourney.
