7th Ace: I hit One at Water Works in the right position. Strange ace, pure anny into the hill to the right of the basket and bounced off in...

Sooooo....all holes are reachable except hole one.   ;D

I went through the pics on dgcourse review to refresh my memory. There are a few in the woods that could be hit. I remember I did get three birdies in a row. (5,6,7 or 6,7,8) Those are probably the most probable. There are several that have looong narrow fairways with low cielings and/or hard doglegs that make aces improbable. There are few that could possibly be hit if you throw 400+ with great accuracy and a lot of luck.

2 - 450 - long straight fairway with low cieling
3 - 325, long straight fairway with low cieling and dog leg at end
4 - 475 - basket tucked in gap in woods on right (possible for a long lefty or a 475 anny/flick?)
5 - possible - 235 - similar to down under
6 - 250 possible - down under
7 - possible - down under
8 - most probably - most open and short (surprised someone has not hit this one)
9 - possible? 330 straight and narrow with low cieling
10 possible? 285 with dogleg right
11 492 - out of woods over 40' deep and 200' wide drainage ditch up over dike and into a clump of trees (this is the whole other than one that I remember most distinctly - I did not like this hole, maybe because I didn't play it well)
12 342 - with hard dogleg right - into the woods
13 265 - heavily wooded with lots of small trees - possible with lots of luck
14 - 420 in heavy woods
15 - 323 - behind gaurdian trees
16- 315 - long narrow low cieling with gaurdian trees
17 - 405 with a hard dogleg right at about 250-275 (or through/over? trees)
18 - 357 possible for loong arms if you hit the small gap in the tree line

So I guess there are several possibilities - but to say all but one - no way.
But after review - it is surprising that the ace fund there is sooo big.

(have you played it?)

Aced Hole 7 at the Thomas Park Open in 2012 with a magnet.  Hole 6 was aced by Jared Kinsel about a minute later, taking half my money >:(

I'd say there are really only 6 holes that are ace-able.  (3,6,7,9,13,15)  All the other holes, it would be the shot of a lifetime, with a lot of luck involved.

Like Timko acing WW 17 on the peninsula with a skip off the green. That is obviously so ace-able.

It was a joke.  He would drive here for the City of Fountains knowing he would play Blue Valley and Cliff, but stop at Birdland, and then go play Waterworks before he left town.  He is freaking crazy!

Thomas Park in Salina has a Sunday league with an ace pool around 2200 bucks

Looking back through Salina's forum, I found the reason why their Ace Pot is so high.  They only pay $300/ace.  They do not give 1/2 the pot.

There has been 2 aces hit this year, and the starting ace fund was around $2350.  It looks like the ace fund will stay in the $2000's for a long time, and maybe make it to $3000.  But $300 is all you will get.

There is a C-tier at Thomas Park next Saturday the 15th ran by Maceman.  Always a fun tourney.  2 rounds of 18 on a tough course.  4-5 down on the day usually wins open.
