Celebrate the celestial start of Summer, this evening, Friday, June 21st
As I was setting up the course yesterday evening, with Maya, Naigel and Travis' help, (thank you for that) I realized that I really want to do A/B pool draw for the partners doubles side. Still going to have cali for those that want to play it, but reduced that entry to $10, same cost as doubles.
- BYO beverages. Food, prepared by Tony Todd, will be up by 5:00.
- We'll be playing a challenging backwards layout.
- A/B draw partners doubles - $10 per person
- Cali (each player follows Cali rules) - entry $10 per person.
Please signup by 5:50pm. This is a hard cut-off time. If you aren't signed up by then and want to play, you'll have to play in the Cali format. No exceptions! Partners will be drawn and holes assigned immediately after 6:00pm. We will start play by 6:20. It's going to be hot today, so bring water in addition to your libation of choice, to stay hydrated. Also, bring your tri-fold chairs. I tried to put most of the tees near a shady spot, but we won't be playing from any of the usual pads with benches.
This is not a KCFDC league and will not have the Wyco ace fund in play. As such, payout will be 100% of entry and will payout to ~40% in each field.
18 - Tee: North of #1 short basket -> to practice location (it will actually have #18's basket)
17 - Tee: Across the street from marquee -> to #17's long
16 - Tee: North of #17 pin -> to #16's right (that's left as you look for it)
15 - Tee: West, up the hill -> to #15
14 - Tee: At shelter by water -> to #14 on Dam
13 - Tee: Other end of dam -> to #13 long
12 - Tee: Near #13 short pin -> to #12 long
11 - Tee: Near #12 short pin -> to #11 short
10 - Tee: NorthEast near tree -> to #10 short
9 - Tee: Next to the road -> to #9 right (it plays over #7, I haven't fixed the broken pin yet, look for a work-half-day next weekend)
8 - Tee: East -> #8
7 - Tee: West before gap -> #7 left
6 - Tee: South to large tree -> #6 long
5 - Tee: SW near tree -> #5 short
4 - Tee: On mound to South -> #4 near road
3 - Tee: East through gap -> #3's left pin
2 - Tee: East up the hill -> #2's extra long (my portable at bent pin)
1 - Tee: Near #2 basket (bag covered) - #1 short
OB: All the usual facility rules. Plus, on or across any road, as long as the pin is on same side of road as the tee, otherwise road is treated as a river, in which case, on the road is OB. For holes that have road in play: on or across the road is OB: 18, 17, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 7, 4 and 2 (on or across the park road). road is a river, on it is OB: 16, 9, 6, 5 and 2 (just the drive way and parking lot are river)
