Line is still down. Some assessments say it might not be cleared until noon.

Just saw on the News that a Disc Golfer was electrocuted last night trying to practice for this mornings round. I guess he stepped on the wire.

So, the round is cancelled and wiped off the books.  They will be throwing their scheduled round at WW starting at 8:30.  I understand the safety issue, as well as the issue of fairness to all the advanced players, all though I wish there was a way to count a third round for them.  Good luck to them at WW.  It's completely saturated, with red mulch and broken limbs strewn everywhere.  Not to mention a tree is down on hole 7 (struck by lightning?), but is not obstructing the fairway.

Rosedale is officially closed. B pool will complete their tournament at waterworks at 1130.

At 3:30 AM.  Was this a tournament player or a casual?

They made it sound like they were practicing for the tournament.

I was told by some disc golfers there late yesterday afternoon a power line was down near hole 1.

Was this reported to the course director or td ...?

The answer would be 'yes'.

I'm guessing that someone playing at 3:30am is not a tournament player. Was the area marked with caution tape by anyone after being reported? I saw it was taped off this morning during the news.

I cant believe that the power company didn't take any action to cut power to the line. Especially in a public park. I know that both the police and KCPL were called about it. Truly sad that such a terrible thing happened.  :(

Well, one big lawsuit should change that policy. The clock is ticking.
