The course has been recently mowed and is gorgeous for late August.
Time to move the baskets.

If you played it around the kc wide open then you know if you didn't the your in for a real treat...
the first two holes take alot of space..
if you at one you play out  accrost the lot that most people park in then you tee of on $4's tee pad and play to #5 next to the road then you pass the house going to the zoo and tee by the sign just keep going...

this is just a quick run down if any one else can explan it better please do...

Any #4 comes back then #4 is next to the parking lot you will see it when you tee off of 3
then got to #6 tee pad like you know it from here on out...

i think thats what they mean with the bling bling gold....

You are correct, I also may elect to push hole 1 to 17, 2 to 7, 7 to practice,
8 to 9, etc, etc.
I will have maps for the final analysis.

#1 and 2 are really not used in the Gold layout.

Gold #1 is from normal 3 to the super-long-across-the-parking-lot placement.  Gold #2 is from normal #4 tee to #5 pin, long.  Then, continue north past the house, across the driveway to the Parks Dept facility.  Gold #3 tee is right there, just past the driveway and about 30' off Elmwood.  The pin is almost all the way north to the stop sign at Meyer. Gold #4 is to the southeast , on top of the hill and just east of the big tree.  The pin is across the parking lot (which used to have big piles of crap in it)/empty lot and up the hill to the southeast, tucked into the woods to the north of the city lot.  Then, Gold #5 is back to the west and south just a bit, tee going south to the corner right off the corner of the driveway.

Walk around the buildings to get to 6, and continue to long placements all the way through.

So, 1-5 are the only really wierd changes.

It may already be like this - my memory may just be failing; but if the course will be in the gold layout, I was thinking that since fifteen will be on the "island", if that's what you want to call it, maybe seventeen could be pushed back into one of fifteen's longer placements. A mando could be used on fifteen in order to keep traffic from crossing.... Where is seventeen normally in the gold layout?

You guys should have waited a couple more weeks until after daylight savings time to do this.....leagues are already having a hard time finishing without a super long course to play.

If it's already in this layout I suspect Swope league must be done for the year or teeing off at 4:30 which still might not be early enough for that monster.

If league is done...then that will lose money for the club...seeing how leagues are the main source for income to the club in the summer, granted a couple weeks worth of league money is only a couple hundred dollars....but that money goes a long ways for course maintenence.

Not a smart move......
