So is Lakeside still the home of uncontrolled and untamed ticks and poison ivy?

......not sure I have ever seen a controlled tick???

If you expect Mother Nature to be un-natural, might want to stick to an indoor sport!

With the hot, dry weather, and frequent mowing, plus the Clubs countless hours of work, I'd say the ticks really aren't too bad right now. The ivy has been sprayed some, and mowed down some, but it is still around. Actually, the course looks remarkably good for being only 7 months old.

Last Friday the City mowed down the extreme rough to 12", so the majority of the burr weeds were chopped off. It's better than it was, but they are still out there. Stay in the short stuff and you will be burr free.

Hey Dale,

Ive played both courses quite a bit in the last month and havent had many  ticks at all(and I often throw in the deep stuff).  The few I have pulled off have been tiny ones.  The last 2 leagues at birdland have yielded 0 of them.  Plenty of burrs but with the rough getting mowed down, your socks should be salvagable.  I dont get poison ivy so I cant comment on that. ;)

With the weather forecast of 100, we will go thru a lot of water. We will have water jugs on the courses, but I would ask that if you can bring a personal supply/jug and have in your car, it would be a good idea. Thanks!

Cool.  Thanks, Jeff.  I had heard the ticks and poison ivy were crazy thick there and was just wondering if they were a little more under control than in the beginning.
Sorry to hear about your luck!!!   :P

Is there still going to be two pools if the tournament doesn't fill?

After 72 is hit, pool will spilt.  Should play pretty fast either way.  I can't believe we won't hit 72 though...the courses are looking too great to miss this one!!!!!!

Wish I was playing. I have to  go to a wedding in the afternoon for a close family friend.

Going to try and get there in the morning to spot and help out.

Players: remember to bring as much water as you can carry and extra, bug spray, and your discs.  ;D

Everything is ready. Time to play!

It's Old Settlers eve.  8)
