Leavenworth course

Recently had a chance to play the course on the Saint Mary campus in Leavenworth that KMont put in. It's worth your time if you are ever in the area.

Only 4 baskets now (Kevin says there will be more) but there are nine dirt pads with markers and some really cool holes. Each basket is played 2-3 times from different pads. The poles are marked with hole numbers pointed towards the pads.

It's a beautiful campus and a fun little course.

Yes, three more baskets will be going in soon. Once I get the layout I'm looking for I plan to have a fund raiser event to come up with money for the last two baskets to finish a nine-hole course with eighteen tee-pads.

I usually play eighteen holes on Wednesday around 6:00pm if anyone wants to make the trip up to check it out. I'll be out there this evening, 9/14, at 6pm too.

Met Kevin a few weeks ago to walk the course.  It's going to be a beautiful course: beautiful trees, elevation changes, wonderful grass fairways, the eventual layout will provide a nice challenge.  look forward to playing the final layout.  Later-Bob Hayett

Just let me  know when you plan to come out. I have a Ching we can set up too. I have one of the DB-5s with a base but it's welded together and hard to move though. I plan to get out ther ebyt 6pm on Wednesday if anyone wants to come up and play a round and maybe try out some of the new holes I plan to go with.

K7 North to Leavenworth...entrance to U of St Mary is on the left (west), hard to miss it.  I doubt if beer or other..items..would be welcomed on the campus, it being a church-related school.  It is private property, and any signs of alcohol or other...substances...could get kevin in some hot water.

Best to keep a low profile but it isn't necessarily a  dry campus. Hope you can make it up. Let me know if you need more directions.

I just rigged up an old pull behind golf bag carrier to hold a pony keg and thought I would come up to LV this evening for a round and try it out. I have a few Rastafarian friends in town visiting and we thought we would try out the course. Are you going to be there tonight?

I'll be out there by 5:30.

The course isn't marked with tee signs, just markers and flags. To park close to #1 you would want to park in the Maria Hall parking lot or the lot behind Miege on the Northwest side of campus. You can always call when you get to the area for directions - 816-830-0974.
