This is on Facebook also, looks like vandalism but we need to verify with the Parks to ensure they didnít do it.

I think that if the P&R did it they would have taken the tree all the way down and not just let if fall over and then leave. Just a thought.

I agree with Dick's comment on the FB post that this is the worst kind of vandalism. Making the entire disc golf community suffer because your game sucks is totally reprehensible.

Whoever did it didn't know what they were doing in many ways....

But right off the bat you can see they made a straight cut and stopped when it broke. Someone that wanted to cut it down and knew what they were doing would have cut a wedge and dropped it without it breaking leaving a clean stump.

Ignorant vandalism without a doubt.

Prosecution is in order if the culprit could be identified.

Not that I think we're to the point yet, but at what point will swope require yet another reconfiguration?  Is it worth the money to do it if the trees are going to keep falling?  There just appear to be several holes that are becoming straightforward with the continued loss of these trees.  Or, do we try and establish a "tree love" fund at swope too?

I know the idea of tree transplant is there as well, but I don't know how feasible that is with how unpredictable our weather is...
