is red short/ white long /blue extra long?
the red/white/blue is adapted from a common ball golf marking system. a red flag represents a hole on the front third of a green, white is middle third, and blue is back third. also a red marker in the fairway represents 100 yds from the center of the green, white 150 yds, and blue 200 yds. also used to mark tee boxes with red being short, white being middle, and blue being long tees. sometimes gold or black is added but they have different meaning depending on the context in which they are used. so yes, red (r) is short, white (w) is middle, and blue (b) is long. i switched Cliff this system in 09-10 when I first took over as CC. there are two odds that dont follow the system. the practice basket is black but it can be used as an alternate to current hole 1. the orange location works as a middle pin for current 16 or 18.
