Has there been any discussion about the Club Championships at the meetings? What kind of format, courses etc.?

The notes I took at the last meeting show the club championships tentatively set for 10/7 and 10/8. There's no mention in my notes of format or location though.

Unfortunately this has been a really bad season for the EC. It's been tough to schedule meetings and the energy is sort of low. Thanks for brining this up. We need a kick in the pants every now and again. On the bright side, we have been getting a lot done in relation to working with the various parks departments and getting new courses in the ground as well as planning for the long range. Hopefully we can pull together a couple of events as the league season winds down and get something in the mail to everyone.

SLACKERS all of us.

We were to have a meeting this week, I was to travel to IL, so couldn't make it. Had a person drive their car through my house, yep that is right through my house. So I have a little stress at Home.

We need to work on these things as well as a few others:
Club Championships-When and Where?
Elections
By-Laws
501c3 status
Wide Open XXV
Pro/Am Worlds '09
New Courses who designs what?
Better Communication between all players.
Ice Bowl
Bag Tags '05 and '06
P&R set ups with new areas
Outreach, how to get more local players to realize that a few people do the work, and that they need to be the few.

Just thoughts........

Jack I assume you're talking about Bag Tags 2007, but at any rate I'd be willing to do some more investigating and price searching for next years tags. Keeep us posted on the Club Championships.

Dennis...I've had several people mention leather tags for the upcoming year. Let me know what I can do to assist you...and I'll get a budget figured out...whenever we have a meeting. I would like to see these available to everyone before the end of January. Also...we better start with atleast 150 this year...or do we think we can get 200 sold?

Anybody with ideas...please bring them up...several of the tags this year broke....and everyone kept pace fairly well..glueing them back together...or duck taping...or plastic bagging...or wire weaving them back together.

we are preparing a bid for the worlds. A lot of things need to come together. We are throwing our hat in the ring so to speak, but we also have a good group of a FEW people that can make this happen. To make it really work we need MORE people to help pull it off.

We have typically had the Club Championships the weekend of the Friz the last few years........don't know if that will change this year or not.

My bad Jack. The Friz is the following weekend. It's always been the second weekend, so I figured that was the same weekend as the KCFDC Championships.
