Club elections are coming up and we need your help finding nominees.

If anyone is interested in running for a spot on the EC then please get your name on here....we need to get ballots together.

Also if you know of someone who you think would be a good fit for a position...please talk to them and see if they have any interest in getting involved with this committee!!!

It's up to the members to decide who is best fit to run this club....so now is your chance to voice your opinions!!!!!

Here is the section of the bylaws that covers the elections. This was adopted in an odd year. So, since this is an even year it appears we will be electing Sgt at Arms and Secretary along with all course coordinators. I believe there may be an exception to this due to a vacancy in the KS VP which may result in that position being up for reelection this year as well. I will try to nail this down as soon as I get the chance.

KCFDC Bylaw item two:
Each office will be voted on separately, beginning with the
President, Vice President of Missouri Courses (VP of MO), Vice President of Kansas Courses (VP of KS) and the Treasurer holding offices for two year terms. On alternating years, the voting for the Secretary, Sergeant-at-Arms will occur. Course Coordinators (CC) for each course that is currently being maintained by the KCFDC and courses that have received funding will be voted on at each election on a yearly basis

He has already contacted me about that, and I do not believe that position is up for election until next year....and I think Kevin's post above clarify's that.

This year we are electing a Secretary, Seg at Arms, and all Course Coordinators are voted on yearly.

Then next year all other positions will be up for election.

Steve wanted to be on the ballot if VP of KS is open.  If not......nevermind.

Andy may have been referring to something that came up in e-mail converstaion with the board. The KC VP position is not available this year because I did the interim gig until last year's regular election cycle for that position when Dirk ran for it and won. I had simply forgotten that fact in my note above. Sorry for the confusion.

Nobody has stepped up and wanted to run for anything yet..other than VP and that is not elected until next year.

There has been some talk about creating a new EC position of "Promotions Director" and Bob has said he would like to be nominated for that if it becomes a position, and if that happens, I may run for CC of Prairie Center unless someone else wants to step up and do that.

Bob is a great CC for Prairie center, but he has mentioned he would like to spend the time he spends doing CC stuff at other courses promoting the club and area events....i.e. the Outdoor Show this last weekend.

Is there any possibility of expanding the EC and creating a Centennial CC in Lawrence?  I know it is not Kansas City, but it is 20 min away from WYCO and could really use some sort of leadership/organized effort.  Just a thought.
Over the line, Smokey! I'm sorry. That's a foul.

Lawrence is in the domain of the KAW valley disc golf club. I don't think they want to be assimilated by the KCFDC, but who knows?
