Played today - still very green.  There are some neat lines that will really shape up well as it gets worked in.  Not a fan of the baskets.

We have been out and got the distances for all the holes now. Hole and distance markers should be ready in about 6 weeks. There has been a few tee pads moved on holes 7,10,12 and 13. Not sure when tee pads will be installed yet. Hole7's tee area has been moved west to end of the turn around so its not being driven over by cars. Hole 10 was moved to the east of basket 9. Hole 12 is gonna have 2 tee placements one where it is now and another straight out from the gap it marked by a yellow flag out in the tall grass.  Hole 13s tee pad was pushed up more toward the point of the trees to make way for the 2nd tee pad area on hole 12.  On hole 9 theres maybe going to be a 2nd basket location closer to the waters edge.  Hole 8 is going to get a second basket local over across the entrance road making it a 600+ hole. That where the course design and statistics of improvements on the course are a the moment.

A few of the basket portions maybe gone for a few days. Coating was flaking off there going to redip them. Just so you don't think someone vandalized them.

Tee signs are being made now. Should be up in a month or so. Tee pads later in the year I'm told. I've got the trees trimmed up and waiting to see what it looks like with leaves on the trees.  If anybody has anything else they think need tended too, post it here and I will do what I can. Its time to play. See you out there.

The tee pads signs have been installed. Still no word on when tee pads will be installed and what type they will be. Also still waiting to see if they are going to mow the fairway wider as was proposed. I will update when I know more info.

I swung by the baldwin lake disc golf course yesterday. Looks like the city is finally taking an interest in making the course the best it can be. They have been cutting trees, repairing the baskets that the vandals keep tearing up and had been mowed. They put in a beautiful fence to keep people from driving on the course and ripping out the basket.  No word on tee pads of yet but would guess there in the works for this year. So if you get the time and want to play a different course from your normal ones its worth the trip down to check it out. The head of the rec dept. Lives across the street from me so post here what you think (good or bad or suggestions) and i will be sure to pass it on to him.

Played this course over the weekend. Some of the tight fairways have been mowed wider compared to when I played in the fall (especially #16). Stolen baskets replaced. The fence is a nice addition. Watch out for the poison ivy though!

On hole #9, just over the pond, in the thickest bush I've ever seen, is my bright green teebird if anyone has a machete...

Both times I've been out to this course no one else has been playing so definitely not crowded.

If i can get out there saturday i will see if i can retrieve your teebird for you Bailey. I will call you if your numbers on your disc or if not i will post it here.  I live in baldwin and worked on the course trimming what trees they would let me and worked with them where to put the teepad sighs. Ive been trying to get them to mow the fairways wider. Glad to hear they did a little anyway.  Do you live in the area?

I just checked it out on DG review. I like all the water shots! Let's round up some people (and some Dragons, and some swimsuits for retrieving the discs. . .) and make an outing of it some time.

Hi Nova, Steve Keithley and myself and probably a few others would be delighted to meet you there and play a round. Even car pool from Wyco. Make a big day of it. :)
