I was unable to make this last workday due to prior commitments, but I was there for the one before that and no one showed up.  As I said before, it doesn't need to be a year long position.  It doesn't need to be in the mowing contract.  All we need is a pin placement back there (it may still be there and we just can't see it?) and I'll personally do all the mowing back there in preparation for the wide open (or any other tournament for which that pin is requested).  I know it's a pain in the rear to get back there with commercial equipment.  Hole 5 has just become sort of a dull hole that nearly every pro is going to birdie in its current placement.  I think the long placement would be a much harder shot for righty and lefty alike.

I think it would be great to have another setting there.  At the same time I see all the work that needs to be done on the current settings.  We could have a little meeting with Doug and Jim Kreeger to see if it is a possibility and, if so, the time frame.

Something could be done for a long placement for #5, but it would probably be next year. But, we could put in an additional setting for #11, #16, and #17 right now.
I like BIG putts.

I moved a few baskets today.
#1 short
#2 only
#3 short
#4 only
#5 only
#6 long
#7 only
#8 short
#9 short
#10 only
#11 only
#12 only
#13 only
#14 only
#15 only

I set the course up so it can be shortened even further.
1. After playing #3 use the alt. pad for #4.
2. Use the alt. basket for #9.
3. Use the the alt. pad and throw to the #9 basket.
4. Use the alt. pad and throw to #11.
5. Use the alt. basket for #12.
6. Use the alt. pad and throw to to #13.
I like BIG putts.
