1:00 pm-3:00 pm — Swope Park: KCWO Youth Clinic – Presented by Fade Gear and Innova Disc Golf.—Limited to 60 Youth! We will treat up to 60 area youngsters to a variety of info, tips, techniques, a cool players package that includes a Fade Gear disc golf bag and a tournament stamped Innova golf disc. There’s also a special course to test their newly discovered skills.

Next, Jeff Sheetz and his Flying Disc Dogs will take the field for an exciting show of canine creativity.

Towser has been on the cover of “DogSport” magazine, and has been featured in the highlight reel on ESPN’s “Sportcenter”.

Jeff and Jackie Scheetz are the human side of “Team Towser”. They have been travelling and competing in disc dog events for several years with the star of the show, 4 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix “Towser” – and now with his sidekick “Killian”. Both dogs are already qualified in events for this year’s Disc Dog World Championships which will take place in Sept in TN.

Also during Thursday afternoon will be the preliminary rounds of the wild and wacky “Triple X Games,” which will be the focus for many. Participants will have their “old-school” skills tested through the games of Accuracy (throw it through THAT?!*#@), Speed-Putting (HURRY!), KC Hold’em (whatever you do, DON’T drop’em!), Pitch-n-Putt (THAT counts as IN?) and Tic Tac Thro (You’re close, but there’s a twist.).

Registration for the Triple X Games is now open. You can pay the $20 entry by phone at Disc Golf World (816-471-3472). 60 spots only! All TXG participants will receive a custom SuperHero Passport Disc and Mini! Champions will be rewarded!
